The grand traverse of Karakoram Mountains is an amazing oombination of two of the world’s most interesting and beautiful treks: Gondogoro-La (5,450m) via Baltoro Glacier and the Panoramic Trek which goes through Snow Lake and Hisper La (5,150m). During this trek we traverse two main passes of Karakoram. From the top of Gondogoro-La we’ll have a breathtaking view of Masherbrum, Hidden Peak, Chogolisa, Trinity Peak, Layla Peak and the Gondogoro Glacier. The trek starts at Hushe Valley and goes through some of outstanding mountain views.
We have a special reserved day at Concordia to explore the hidden beauty of the panoramic peaks at the core of the Baltoro. The trek is bit difficult and is recommended for good trekkers. The journey to giant Baltoro begins at Skardu, the capital town of Baltistan Biafo & Hispar where they meet at the 5,150 meter Hispar Pass. Snow Lake is situated between two Glaciers the Biafo and Hisper Glacier. It ends in Hispar further to Karimabad, the Capital of former Hunza State. The inhabitants of Hunza are called Hunzukuts who welcome to their guests with a smiling faces. In Hunza we visit to the ancient Altit and Baltit Forts standing on mountain cliffs. The Hunzukuts are the inhabitants of the beautiful Hunza Valley. In this part of the world, Hunzukuts are the most popular for their hospitality and longevity. On our journey back to Islamabad is on Karakoram Highway also known as “eighth wonder of the world” where we’ll also visit some of ancient rock carvings at Shatial before returning to Skardu.
