MOUNTAIN BIKING TO HUNZA VALLEY

A prehistoric land of peace where people never aged, a paradise for adventurer, trekkers,  mountaineers and nature lover lying on legendary silk route to China. The ancestors of hunzakuits are mostly the soldiers of Alexander's army who settled down here with their Persian wives in 327 B.C. Karimabad is the only town in the world surrounded by most picturesque five mountains above 7000 m including Rakaposhi (with a 20,000 feet gain making it as the steepest place on our planet) and virgin peak Ultar. Hunza remain almost cut off till 1974 from the main civilization till completion of the 8th wonder the Karakoram highway. Now one can reach here with all comfort. Sections of ancient silk routes, carving on the rocks, early inscriptions and hunting drawing for the information of early traders, pilgrims and invaders can be seen at most places. A 600 years old Baltit fort is the former palace of the rulers till 1960s and now opens to visitors. Hoper a former kingdom of Nagar offers a magnificent view of the peaks and a glacier moving forward some 20 cm a day. This tour makes it as one of the best day’s mountain biking on earth.
